If practice is to become more than one gathering, one transmission, or one pilgrimage, people need somewhere they can truly stay. Architecture is therefore not the beginning of the story. It is the consequence of the Vision.

獨立閉關房
Personal Retreat Houses
園區規劃 21 間 retreat rooms／cottages。讓修行者可以真正住下來，降低因基本生活需求頻繁離開閉關環境的需要。第一批 4--5 間即可形成一個實際施工群組。
The campus plan includes 21 retreat rooms / cottages. They are intended to allow practitioners to genuinely remain in retreat with fewer interruptions for basic daily needs. The first four or five can form a viable initial construction cluster.

Grand Café 不是整個 Manang 的中心。它是第一個可以完成、可以使用、也可以驗證整套施工與營運方式的實體節點。它將支援：現代廚房。團體餐飲。工作人員日常。社區交流。訪客接點。當地工班合作。未來團體閉關與教學的基本生活需求。
The Grand Café is not the center of Manang. It is the first physical milestone that can be completed, used, and used to test the wider construction and operating approach. It will support: a modern kitchen, group dining, daily staff life, community exchange, a visitor threshold, collaboration with local crews, and the basic living needs of future teaching and retreat groups.

園區不只由「房子」組成。SMA 的 masterplan 也把 orchard、wetland、moon pond、步道與建築之間的關係放在同一個整體裡思考。因為 retreat 的環境本身，就是修持條件的一部分。
The campus is more than a collection of buildings. SMA's masterplan also considers the relationships among the orchard, wetland, moon pond, paths, and architecture as one whole. Because the environment of retreat itself is part of the conditions for practice.
